This business is a resource for independent broadcasting companies who carry on the best traditions of local radio, whether that radio is on air, on the Internet, on iPods, PDAs or cellphones. If you're in this business for the benefit of your neighbors and your community as well as yourselves, if it is your mission to inform and entertain as the way to a successful business, it is my mission to help you achieve your goals.

I specialize in developing "values-driven" media products. In 1990, I was the lead programmer nf the team that signed on the first radio station to apply user-defined value premises as the marketing foundation for its product. This is very different than just "researching the market". It requires a public declaration of principles, and the discipline to stay true to them. The stratospheric success of that project set the groundwork for the eventual breakout of formats like Rock AC and "variety/adult hits" as well as a second generation of alternative stations that put the listener first, unlike previous examples of the genre. It also led directly to the formation of this business in 1991 as a response to a number of requests for assistance in developing new products based on these premises.

It is my belief that you can apply such principles to any broadcast format, any service, any product. It is also my belief that working under such guidelines is a natural fit for the independent operator, or any operator who believes that serving their users honestly and with fervor is the best way to fiscal success.
